EXTFIELD 002 VAPOR TOOLS [NET] is a set of 203 samples of film, television, and broadcast studio idents and bumpers collected from YouTube surf sessions and processed for use as dusty, evocative atmospheres in ambient / vaporwave productions and beyond.

These sounds recall a different time and media landscape. They are imbued with artifacts of RF transmission, VHS transfer, and YouTube compression. The pitch warble, pops & clicks, and washed-out nature of the samples lend them a physicality and presence. These are your ingredients for casting sonic spells to invoke alternate timelines.

All samples are 16-bit 44.1kHz stereo, normalized to -1db.

Two demo tracks made exclusively with sounds from this sample pack are included to give a sense of what they can sound like in use.

EXTFIELD is a series of sample packs built around the concept of [EXT]ending [FIELD] recording practices into virtual worlds and through time. Entries currently fall into either [NET] or [HARD] categories. [NET] releases focus on discoveries made while surfing the web, sampling from sources scattered through global networks of communication. [HARD] releases focus on documenting the idiosyncratic sonic aspects of yesterday's hardware.
